A Little Me!?

Imagine if you will: You're sitting at home one night innocently surfing the Internet, chatting on online, playing with your dog (or cat if you're that type of person) and your friend tells you "I bought the new Sims today..." you're thinking, oh how fun... playing God with little digital people, and then she tells you that she made you and your other friend and herself all in this virtual world and they live together and have jobs and personalities and do things for every day life!

Hold the phone! There is a little digital copy of you running around in digi world living your life?! Suddenly it isn't just you living your life!

She then proceeds to tell you that you started a fire while cooking mac-n-cheese. How this is even physically possible, unless you were cooking it in gasoline instead of water, I'm not too certain. So not only is there a little mini you running around in digi world but there's a little mini you running around starting mac-n-cheese fires in digi world?!

Some of you are probably thinking "what is she going on about? It's just a computer game! Calm down girl!"

No. I will certainly NOT calm down! This is not just a computer game! this game creates lives that live in digi world! The operator of the game makes people, gives them personalities, in some cases controls their every movement... AND NO ONE HAS A PROBLEM WITH THIS!!!

Well would you have a problem with it if the SIMS people were transmitted on a never before discovered frequency to our world and took over our lives? (this is clearly drawn from the movie Pulse). Yeah I bet you would! Would you have a problem with it if playing SIMS actually created an alternate reality, and alternate universe where you existed... a double you! And what would happen if this alternate universe decided to take over OUR universe... what would you think then?

I don't know what's worse. The fact that this could potentially unlock a portal between two alternate universes and end the world as we know it, or the fact that this friend of mine tells me that she made my hair look fabulous and i dress in a vest, jeans, and converse... that i wear glasses and blue bracelets, my favorite color is aqua... and that she forgot to adjust my voice so i have this really deep ugly manly voice and she can't change it.

AH! New thought just popped in my head! This friend of mine watches little digital me sleep, and bathe, and go to the bathroom and change and everything. Even creepier. This has potentially just escalated to stalker status. She tells me "this is a child's game... for you to think this way is appalling. Apologize to all the 5+ kids out in the world." Clearly she does not understand the impending danger that she has unleashed by playing this innocent computer game.

What happens if little digital copy of me ends up getting married before I do? How can I be upstaged like this? How could I live with myself if this happened?!

I don't like the whole idea of being controlled by someone looking in on me from a computer monitor... and I don't imagine that little digital me enjoys that too much either.

Okay. So what are the facts? Somewhere in the infinite digital world there is a little me running around starting mac-n-cheese fires, dressing quite nicely, and speaking with a nasty deep man voice.

What are my thoughts on this? I'm not too sure i like knowing that there's a little me running rampant out in the world.

If the opportunity presents itself i will log onto her game and kill myself to save the universe. Perhaps this is the only option.
